A Local's Journey
- November 23, 2018
Every year the City of Niagara Falls gives the opportunity for locals, who are usually the last to appreciate the beauty and the uniqueness of their own city, the chance to try out attractions at great low prices.
This time of year, for one week they offered 10 attractions for just $10 a person, what a deal! This year my husband and I took advantage and visited a few places, and we learned a few new things to.
This year we visited the Niagara Falls Museum (costume area to dress up and take photos), Guinness World Records museum (did not know they had token operated games inside), Journey Behind the Falls (has always been my favorite attraction, love the engineering involved in building the tunnels, and love the opportunity to be that close to all that power of water rushing over the edge. Since it got dark while we were out, we also visited the Skylon tower where you could see the falls illuminated and the Festival of Lights along the Niagara Parkway, (We were going to have supper at the buffet, but it was already booked solid for the night, so be sure to make reservations).
The light upgrades that illuminate the falls are beautiful, the colors were so intense compared to the former lighting system. If you haven’t been in a few years, come back and take a look, absolutely beautiful.
It was a great afternoon together. We walked a lot, and all this exploring was took us a little over 4hours. Come explore Niagara, it’s beautiful in every season.
