So Many Travel Sites, which one should you trust?
Just today I had a conversation with a potential guest that they were ‘on our website’ and saw that our rooms were 75% off. My eyebrows went up and I said; “that must not have been our website as we don’t offer our rooms at such a discount”. This potential guest proceeded to tell me they typed in ’Best Western Welland’ and they clicked on the first link. There you have it, they went onto the site of a travel company that was promoting a discount from a summer rate to now a winter rate, simulating a 75% discount.
We all want the best value for our purchase, so how do you know if you are getting the best deal? With our booking system, here are a few tips.
- Make sure you are looking on the branded website. (www.bestwestern.com)
- There are incentives for booking early (we offer 20% off, and more if you are a Best Western Rewards Member)
- Add on a third day to your stay, and we’ll give you 15% off (and more if you are a Best Western Rewards Member)
- Sometimes your plans change. The hotel direct booking can sometimes work with you to negotiate your cancellation penalty, whereas the other guys won’t have as much sympathy
- Perks – you’re more likely to get a room upgrade or early check in, if you book direct. We can track your stays and try to keep you in your ‘favorite room’
