Hotel Blog

It always surprises me the look of surprise when we tell those who ask ‘Are you busy there at the hotel? Even in the winter?” and we answer, “yes, we are & you better book your room or you may end up without one!” 

Living in the city you do, most of the time as we are in our routines of drop kids off at school, go to work, do work thing, pick up kids from school, buy something for the kids or the house, showers, bed, repeat –we don’t see all the development and good things that are happening around us.

Without listing all the companies we’ve done business with, many projects & special events need outside help. Some are welcomed by the residents, others controversial. 

Most recent ones include the build and launch of the GE / Innio factory, the windmill installation project, specialized trades to complete buildings such as the wellness centre and sidewalk repairs. Then we have the fun things, like sporting events that happen almost every weekend in some sport all year long such as hockey, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, rowing, triathlon, basketball, etc. 

Did you know there was such a thing as Race Walking? How about a race where you swim, then run (in your wet clothes), then siwm again. Weird, but sounds interesting & its run by CanAqua. Learned this by working at the hotel.  Happy 30^th Anniversary Best Western Plus Rose City Suites 1990-2020
