Winter Festival of Lights Returns

A well known tradition in Niagara is the Winter Festival of Lights, lighting up the Niagara Parkway from November to January.

Celebrating their 37^th year of lights, this year will be just as spectacular as usual. Featuring fifteen wildlife exhibits (light sculptures in the shape of animals, most located at Dufferin Islands, which has plenty of free parking and great for the little ones to run around a bit and have some great photo opportunities. 

In addition to the animal exhibits, it has the world’s largest illuminated Canada Flag, beautiful 3D angels, Mounties, family snow ball fight, Noah’s ark and so much more!

Plan your trip to Niagara from November 16 2019 to January 12^th 2020 to enjoy first hand, maybe even two trips, one when we don’t have snow, and one when we do and all the railings and lamp posts are frozen – very beautiful, like post card perfect with the right camera angle!

Winter Festival of Lights is 8km long and has 3 million lights!

Once you’ve covered those 8km, head up the hill a bit to the Oakes Hotel for a light show projected against the front of the hotel.  (GPS address 6815 Stanley Ave Niagara Falls, ON L2G 3Y9)
